Mohamed Salah has once again been named Liverpool's Standard Chartered Player of the Month for September after he also collected the award in August.

Asked about breaking the record to become the fastest Liverpool player to reach 100 Premier League goals for the club, Salah said: "Of course I'm very proud.

Although not in September, Salah scored arguably the goal of the season so far in Liverpool's 2-2 draw against Manchester City before the international break.

The 29-year-old has outlined the influence supporters had on the game as he discussed what was a 'special' atmosphere.

"To score any goal, for me, is very important but to score the fastest 100th goal for Liverpool is something special.

"I'm always trying to score goals, always trying to help the team.
