Former Chelsea midfielder Florent Malouda reckons Liverpool's summer spending spree on attacking talent will make Mohamed Salah even more "dangerous" for rival teams.

Salah observed from the sidelines as the Premier League team brought in Florian Wirtz and Hugo Ekitike during the window, before completing a British record £125 million ($168.8 million) swoop for Alexander Isak from Newcastle on deadline day.

Ekitike arrived in late July from Eintracht Frankfurt in a deal potentially worth £79 million ($106.7 million), while the arrangement with Bayer Leverkusen for Wirtz saw the Germany star move for an initial £100 million ($135.1 million), potentially rising to £116 million ($156.9 million) with various performance-related clauses.

To maintain financial balance, Liverpool offloaded Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz, with Ben Doak also permitted to depart, generating approximately £135 million ($182.4 million) from the trio of sales.

Malouda believes this reshaping of the attacking unit will ultimately benefit Salah.

Speaking to Boyle Sports, Malouda commented: "When you look at Mo Salah, he's always been able to renew himself and find pockets where he could be more effective, even though he always starts from the right

Salah remains Liverpool's talisman

"There were rumors of him possibly going to Saudi Arabia, so the club is preparing to attract players who can perform at his high level and help the team win trophies.

"I think it's more about creating connections with those talented new players

From my experience, when good players bond together, they all perform much better.

"Liverpool isn't expecting anything else from Mo Salah, I think.

"They need to bring something different that might free Mo Salah to be more dangerous.

"You also need players with legs next to him for defensive balance, which is always difficult to achieve in modern football.

"So for me, I'm happy to see so much talent, so many different profiles.

"It's more about, and we're talking about leadership, how the new players accept Mo Salah's leadership in terms of attacking roles."

So far this season, Salah has found the back of the net once, scoring late in the 4-2 victory over Bournemouth on August 15.
