Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah has called for patience from the fans as the Reds gear up for the new season, with a host of new signings set to make their debuts.
The Premier League champions, managed by Arne Slot, are preparing to face FA Cup winners Crystal Palace in the Community Shield at Wembley this afternoon.
The Merseyside club have been busy in the transfer market this summer, bringing in eight new players for a combined total of nearly £300million, with five of those expected to become key players very quickly.
New arrivals likely to feature against Palace include club record £116m signing Florian Wirtz, £79m Hugo Ekitike, £40m Milos Kerkez and £29m Jeremie Frimpong, with £29m goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili also named in the squad.

Salah, who was Liverpool's record signing in June 2017 before Virgil van Dijk took that mantle six months later, believes newcomers Wirtz, Ekitike, Kerkez, Frimpong and Mamardashvili should be given time to prove their worth at Anfield.
I don't want the fans to be just overexcited and also put pressure on them before they did anything.
"It's very good signings, but they need to show that in the games and to show that to the club."
In a joint interview with LFC TV, captain Van Dijk also emphasised the challenges of settling into life at Liverpool but expressed confidence that the new signings can flourish with support from the squad's senior players.
