Leeds United midfielder Brenden Aaronson has admitted that he was a big Liverpool fan whilst growing up in America.
Asked by Amazon Prime to name his favourite childhood team, Aaronson gave a rueful laugh.
“I always get a lot of stuff for this, but my favourite club growing up was Liverpool,” he smiled.

After a very bright start at Leeds this season, Aaronson has faded a little of late.
But from his efforts at Elland Road so far, it’s clear to see that the 22-year-old has a really bright future.
And according to head coach of MLS side Philadelphia Union, Jim Curtin, that future might well be at Liverpool.
As quoted by US based journalist Tom Bogert on Twitter after Aaronson starred in Leeds’ dramatic win at Anfield in October, Curtin suggested that the midfielder would be perfect for Jurgen Klopp.
“To watch Aaronson play against Liverpool, you could tell by Jurgen Klopp’s body language every time Brenden did anything.
Aaronson had been lighting up the early months of the season with his relentless running and technical capabilities.
But three months on, the America international has gone off the boil a little.
Aaronson is still a young player adapting to a new league.
Keep working though Brenden, because you just never know.
