Liverpool have had a serious dip in form over the past few weeks.
The Reds are out of the FA Cup, out of the Europa League and all but out of the title race.
It’s all gone wrong for the Merseyside club, and, as you can imagine, a number of fingers are being pointed after this recent run of form.
Speaking on Three Up Front with Simon Jordan, Troy Deeney has been discussing Liverpool’s recent dip, and he says that he has a concern about Darwin Nunez and his performance levels in training.

The pundit spoke about Nunez, and he theorised that he doesn’t score much in training, hence why he looks so uncomfortable in front of goal at times.
“My only concern with Nunez, just observation, I don’t know him.
He looks like a great trainer and a great guy, all of that stuff,” Deeney said.
“I don’t think he scores a lot in training when I watch him because he always looks surprised going through.

“He may do, but just observing, I’m going do you score a lot in training?
It looks like he misses and then goes alright the next one.
“
“It’s a great trait to have but at the level Liverpool are competing at, even Arsenal who are ahead of Liverpool are going that we need that striker, we need someone who will score.
Liverpool are missing that one.”
Deeney may be right here.
Nunez is brilliant at getting into the right positions, but he doesn’t seem comfortable when it comes to actually finishing the ball.
This may stem from a training issue, and that’s something that Liverpool’s next manager may need to work on.
How to fix Nunez’s finishing issues is a mystery, but, with the right coaching, he could potentially be a superstar.
Fingers crossed Nunez can figure it out heading into next season.
