Liverpool’s goalkeeping department has changed several times over during the summer break.
The Reds ripped up the playbook as both their second and third choice goalkeepers departed, with two new players brought in.

With a turnover in coaches as well, the only constant from last season to this has been Alisson Becker.
Now entering his eighth season with Liverpool, Alisson has been one of the best goalkeepers on the planet for years and years.
Liverpool fans absolutely love their Brazilian goalie, with the 32-year-old known for his big personality as much as his quality between the sticks.
Part of the lore of Alisson is his ever-changing appearance, with so many different looks seen from year to year.
Short hair, long hair, big beard, clean-shaven, moustachioed, Alisson has done it all.
Finally, the Brazil international has explained why.

Jurgen Klopp was often at pains to point out how annoyingly good-looking he believed Alisson to be.
“What a guy, eh?” the former Liverpool manager said in October 2022.
“Extremely good-looking, an outstanding goalie and smart as well.”

And when asked during an interview with Men In Blazers how he decides what look he is going to go for in terms of his facial hair, Alisson said it is often a spur of the moment decision.
“I decide by the moon!” laughed the No.
And I have some crazy ideas in the moment then I just do it.”

“My wife doesn’t like it too much to be honest,” Alisson admitted.
As long as I have hair on my head I’m going to do it.”
Perhaps the only look we have not seen from Alisson over the past seven years is a skinhead type hairdo.
Unfortunately, all the signs point to the fact that we are running out of time in ever seeing him sport it at Liverpool.
With Giorgi Mamardashvili having signed to play back-up this season, there is a strong chance the Georgian will not hang around to do it for a second term.
As a result, with Alisson’s contract set to run until 2027, there feels a possibility that the starting goalkeeper leaves at the end of the campaign.
Given how good Alisson continues to be, this will be one to watch in a year’s time.
