Fekir spoke out over his failed move to Liverpool in 2019 and insisted the deal did not break down due to injury concerns over his knee.

Spanish publication AS believe Arsenal have opened the bidding for the 27-year-old but the offer was 'far from the amount' of Betis' valuation.

Fekir came close to joining Liverpool from Lyon in the summer of 2018 only for the deal to dramatically collapse at the final stage due to concerns over his injury record.

Betis sporting director Antonio Cordon could not rule out Fekir leaving this summer but admitted potential suitors 'will have to pay a lot of money'.

The Frenchman went on to win the World Cup with France and moved to La Liga with Real Betis where he helped them to a sixth-place finish last term under former Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini.
