Napoli are gearing up for another season of intense competition.

Alongside their pursuit of players like Darwin Nunez, Sam Beukema, and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Napoli are also eyeing experienced attackers to boost their forward line.

But they’re not just looking anywhere – they’ve set their sights on a couple of top-tier talents, and one player, in particular, has already caught their attention.

One of the main names linked with Napoli is a former Juventus and Fiorentina player who has found it tough to get regular game time at his current club.

Federico Chiesa, who has struggled for minutes during the 2024/2025 season at Liverpool, appears to be a top target for the Serie A side.

As per Gianluca DiMarzio, it is understood that Napoli have already “spoken with” the player’s agent, Fali Ramadani, to explore a possible move.

The report read, “In addition to Jadon Sancho – for whom Napoli maintains a sort of priority for the player having moved before the competition (including Juventus) – the club is also not giving up on Federico Chiesa.”

As the summer transfer window heats up, this situation is one to keep a close eye on.

The Italian winger has struggled to make an impact at Liverpool under Arne Slot, despite the club dominating the Premier League.

With only 14 appearances across all competitions in the 2024/2025 season (totalling 466 minutes), Chiesa has had limited opportunities, contributing just two goals and two assists.

Liverpool, despite their dominance, have found it challenging to accommodate Chiesa in their starting lineup, and the lack of consistent playing time has left the 26-year-old looking for more regular minutes elsewhere.

As Napoli continue to explore options to strengthen their squad, a move for Chiesa seems plausible, especially considering the club’s priority to bring in a skilled and experienced wide player.
