Liverpool have confirmed Nat Phillips’ permanent departure.
Phillips arrived at Anfield in summer 2016 from Bolton Wanderers and went on to make 29 appearances in all competitions during his next nine years at the club.
The 28-year-old rose to prominence during the 2020/21 campaign when he featured 20 times as the Reds battled an unprecedented injury crisis under Jurgen Klopp.
But Phillips had to pursue first-team opportunities elsewhere with loan spells at Bournemouth, Celtic, Cardiff City and Derby County across the next three years.
On Monday, the centre-back sealed a move to West Bromwich Albion which brought the curtain down on almost a decade in the red half of Merseyside.
Phillips’ move to the Hawthorns will see Arne Slot’s side generate up to £3 million with add-ons despite his current deal previously due to expire at the end of June.
