Everton fans are jumping for joy on social media with Jack Grealish now confirmed as a new signing on loan from Manchester City.

Grealish’s future has long looked set to lie away from Man City ahead of the new season following a poor 2024/25 campaign that saw him struggle to nail down a spot in Pep Guardiola’s starting eleven.

The 29-year-old made just seven Premier League starts last term, and with a move away beckoning, Football Insider reported in June that Everton and Newcastle United were leading the race for Grealish’s services.

Everton recently opened talks over a loan move for the Man City outcast [The Athletic] after Football Insider previously revealed that Grealish was “excited” about a potential move to Merseyside.

Football Insider have also revealed that David Moyes has backed himself to get the best out of Grealish, and he will get the chance to prove that now with the 29-year-old through the door at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Everton fans have seen a number of new players arrive at the club in recent months, such as Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Thierno Barry and Adam Aznou, but none hold the prestige and intrigue like that of Grealish’s capture.

The Toffees moved to officially announce his arrival the club on Tuesday (12 August), after initially teasing their supporters with a video of him rolling down his club socks, with an X post that read: “Welcome to Everton, (Jack Grealish)!” alongside a video of him celebrating in their new home shirt for the upcoming season.
