A new mural featuring Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has been unveiled in the heart of the city.

The striking artwork captures Klopp as it looks to celebrate his significant contributions to the Reds’ success in recent years.

The German has announced that he will be stepping down from his role as Liverpool manager at the end of the season, claiming he is “running out of energy.”

Klopp has enjoyed considerable success since his arrival at Anfield in 2015, leading Liverpool to the Premier League title in 2020 and the Champions League victory in 2019.

His managerial prowess secured additional silverware including the FA Cup, League Cup, UEFA Super Cup, and FIFA Club World Cup.

The 56-year-old has revealed his intention to take a hiatus from managerial duties and has stated that he will refrain from taking on any managerial roles at clubs or national teams for at least a year.

Additionally, he has affirmed that he has no plans to manage any other club in England apart from Liverpool.

“I can understand that it’s a shock for a lot of people in this moment, when you hear it for the first time, but obviously I can explain it, or at least try to explain it,” Klopp said in a video statement released by Liverpool.

“I love absolutely everything about this club, I love everything about the city, I love everything about our supporters, I love the team, I love the staff.

I love everything.

I have no problem now, obviously, I knew it already for longer that I will have to announce it at one point, but I am absolutely fine now?

“I know that I cannot do the job again and again and again and again.”

Klopp departed Borussia Dortmund, where he clinched two Bundesliga titles, in May 2015.

He then embarked on a sabbatical before resuming his managerial career by succeeding Brendan Rodgers at Anfield in October of the same year.

His contract was due to run until 2026 but he has opted to leave Anfield this summer.
