Newcastle United are reportedly considering another striker as a potential replacement for Alexander Isak.

The Magpies are in the market for another striker following Liverpool’s interest in Isak.

The Reds want the Swedish striker and have already submitted a first bid for him.

However, their offer was roundly rejected by Newcastle United, who are reportedly unwilling to sell the striker.

According to reports, the Magpies are holding off for £150m, but even that may not be enough to lure Isak away from St.

James’ Park unless they are able to sign a replacement.

RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko is the man Newcastle want to replace Isak.

The Magpies have already seen their first offer for the 22-year-old rejected by Leipzig.

But they remain on the negotiation table, hoping to secure the services of the Slovanian, who is also attracting serious interest from Manchester United.

The Red Devils are reportedly ready to make their move, meaning that Newcastle could still miss out on Sesko.

With interest in Sesko high and real uncertainties about the possiblity of the transfer going through, Newcaslte have set their sights on another option.

According to Spanish journalist Eduardo Burgos, Eddie Howe’s side are interested in Porto striker Samu Aghehowa.

The former Atletico Madrid stirker is said to be valued at €80m, which is around the sum Newcastle bid for Sesko.

According to the journalist, Aghehowa is one of the options Newcastle are considering, but Porto’s reluctance to sell may pose a hindrance if the Magpies concretise their interst as the Portugues club want to keep the striker for another year.

“Newcastle United is interested in the situation of Samu Aghehowa,” Burgos said.

“They have been monitoring his progress since the beginning of the year.
