Newcastle United have been desperately searching for a striker to replace the Swede, and they now have gotten a bit of luck they have sorely missed this summer transfer window.
The Athletic has reported that Wolves’ Jorgen Strand Larsen has now asked his club to allow him the move to St James’ Park:
“Newcastle United target Jorgen Strand Larsen has informed Wolverhampton Wanderers that he wants to leave,” David Ornstein wrote.
“The St James’ Park club have already had two offers, worth £50million and £55m turned down by Wolves.”
“There has been no third offer as things stand and Wolves’ current stance is that any bid will be rejected.”
