Newcastle United have reportedly had a bid rejected for Yoane Wissa.
According to multiple reports, the Magpies made a bid worth £35m plus add-ons for the forward on Wednesday afternoon.
However, Brentford have rejected the offer as it falls short of their valuation.
Earlier this week, Wissa removed all association with the Bees from his Instagram account, as his future took a fresh twist.
Eddie Howe's side have held a long-term interest in the 28-year-old, who scored a career-high 20 goals in 39 appearances last season.

Wissa is claimed to be desperate to move to St James' Park and didn't feature in Brentford's Premier League curtain-raiser against Nottingham Forest on Sunday.
However, should Newcastle go and sign Wissa, it could have a major domino impact on Liverpool's hopes of signing Alexander Isak.
The Reds remain interested in a move for the 25-year-old, who is desperate to move to Anfield this summer.

On Tuesday, Isak was also absent from the PFA Awards, where he was included in the Team of the Year.
Shortly after his inclusion, he turned to social media to drop a bombshell statement on his future.
In a bombhsell statement shared on his Instagram story on Tuesdya night, Isak said: "I'm proud to be recognised by my fellow professionals with a place in the PFA Premier League Team of the Season for 2024/25.
"First and foremost I want to thank all my teammates and everyone at Newcastle United who has supported me along the way.
Alexander Isak."
In response to Isak's social media statement, Newcastle hit back at the former Borussia Dortmund man and revealed that "no commitment" has ever been made by a club official for him to leave this summer.
