Newcastle United have come up with an official statement regarding the future of Alexander Isak after the social media drama from the player.
2025 is proving to be the golden year for the Reds as they have already secured the Premier League title for the 2024-25 season a few months ago.
Then, as the summer transfer window opened, the Merseyside club completed a major squad rebuild with multiple players leaving and some world-class signings.
However, their summer business doesn’t appear to be stopping, as they are further eyeing transfers of Alexander Isak and Marc Guehi.
It is the former’s transfer situation that is making the most headlines in the footballing world currently.

Following the PFA Awards ceremony on Tuesday evening, where several Liverpool players shone, Isak posted an Instagram story that created major upset in the transfer market.
After skipping the ceremony, the Swedish international’s story’s initial paragraphs reflected gratitude.
That’s where things are for me right now and why change is in the best interests of everyone, not just myself.”
But Newcastle have released a statement that clarifies the whole Isak situation.
The statement stated, “We are disappointed to have been alerted to a social media post by Alexander Isak this evening.
“We are clear in response that Alex remains under contract and that no commitment has ever been made by a club official that Alex can leave Newcastle United this summer.
“We want to keep our best players, but we also understand players have their own wishes and we listen to their views.
As explained to Alex and his representatives, we must always take into consideration the best interests of Newcastle United, the team and our supporters in all decisions and we have been clear that the conditions of a sale this summer have not transpired.
“We do not foresee those conditions being met.
“This is a proud football club with proud traditions and we strive to retain our family feel.
Alex remains part of our family and will be welcomed back when he is ready to rejoin his teammates.”
While this statement attempts to clear the air, the ongoing clash between the two parties has been pretty evident.
The 25-year-old has already been left out of the squad due to the transfer conundrum and his future looks bleak at the Tyneside.
However, these mishaps are actually paving a smoother way for Liverpool to secure the deal for Isak.
