Newcastle may have dropped its biggest hint yet over Alexander Isak’s future - and it’s good news for Liverpool.

The striker continues to be heavily linked with a move to Anfield this summer, with speculation going into overdrive over the past week or so after he told his current club he wants to leave.

Liverpool had made an approach to Newcastle earlier in the month before turning its attention to Hugo Ekitike, having been met with a firm response by the Magpies.

What’s more, Isak is said to have already agreed personal terms with Liverpool, with Sky Sports Switzerland claiming talks will begin between the two clubs soon as a bid is planned.

The Reds will still have to force Newcastle into a U-turn on its stance, although there have been signs that it might already be softening, with the St James’ Park club already looking at Benjamin Sesko as a potential replacement.

And the Magpies have dropped yet another hint that Isak could be heading out of the exit door after the striker was cut from their latest kit launch.

Isak though was nowhere to be seen, despite reportedly having been part of the shoot.

According to Chronicle Live, the 25-year-old was involved in media duties for the new kit, and posed for photographs and videos alongside his teammates, but was then left out of the club’s promotional material on Tuesday.

It’s also claimed that Isak’s No.14 shirt has been hard to find during the club’s tour of Asia, with other players taking the limelight after the Sweden international was left at home.

Isak absence from the kit launch, despite his apparent attendance for the photoshoot, will add more fuel to the fire surrounding his future in the north-east.

Speaking about the striker during his club’s tour of Asia, Newcastle boss Eddie Howe said: "He is still our player
