Newcastle's prospects of securing Yoane Wissa as a replacement for Hugo Ekitike have been significantly bolstered.

Brentford forward Wissa emerged as a target after Liverpool outpaced the Magpies in the pursuit of Eintracht Frankfurt striker Ekitike.
