Dusan Vlahovic has emerged as a cut-price potential Alexander Isak replacement, but Newcastle United reportedly don’t seem too keen on the deal.
The Magpies have endured a rough summer, missing out on the likes of Hugo Ektike and Benjamin Sesko, while Liverpool have relentlessly chased the signing of Alexander Isak.
With the end of the transfer window in sight, Isak’s future still remains incredibly unclear, and Newcastle are actively pushing to sign a new striker with pursuits for Yoane Wissa and Jorgen Strand Larsen.
Now, Vlahovic has emerged as another possibility, with Newcastle needing a new No.9 even if Isak stays, following the departure of Callum Wilson.
According to Ben Jacobs, Juventus have raised Vlahovic as a possible replacement for Isak this summer.
The Old Lady are open to accepting offers around €30million (£25.9m) for the Serbia international, who has just one year left on his contract but earns a massive, team-high €427,308 (£369,234) per week, per Capology.

Juve signed Canada international Jonathan David on a free transfer earlier this summer, and he scored on his Serie A debut for the club against Parma — though Vlahovic also found to complete a 2-0 victory, despite seeing just 11 minutes on the pitch.

The Italian giants want Vlahovic’s considerable wages off the books, meaning they’ve massively reduced their demands.
However, Jacobs reports that Newcastle are ‘not planning to proceed’, while it’s also unclear whether or not the 25-year-old would even be open to a move to St.
James’ Park in the first place.
Newcastle’s striker search is reaching crisis point, with the transfer window closing on Monday.
A recent £50m bid for Strand Larsen was rejected, and while a follow-up offer is being considered, it’s thought Newcastle now have doubts about how much more they want to pay for the Wolves man.
The same goes for Chelsea’s Nicolas Jackson, who could command an even bigger £60m fee this summer, despite the Blues already signing Joao Pedro and Liam Delap.
That leaves Brentford’s Yoane Wissa, but even his situation is not straightforward.
Having already lost 2024/25 top scorer Bryan Mbeumo, captain Christian Norgaard, goalkeeper Mark Flekken and manager Thomas Frank, the Bees have so far remained steadfast in their desire to keep Wissa — even against his wishes.
But things are even more complicated for Newcastle after it emerged that Frank’s new club Tottenham are considering hijacking their approach for Wissa.
Eddie Howe could face the nightmare scenario of once again being pipped to the post for a key target.
If that happens, Vlahovic — who scored 17 goals across all competitions for Juve in 2024/25 — might not seem such a bad prospect after all.
