Richard Keys has slammed the shocking officiating in the West Ham vs Tottenham game as the Lilywhites were denied a dubious goal.
Tottenham were booed off by fans in their 1-0 defeat to Bournemouth before the international break as Thomas Frank’s side look to quickly restore faith amongst the north London faithful.
Tottenham fans were waxing lyrical over Xavi Simons in training as the Dutchman made his full debut against the Hammers by bagging an assist in a 3-0 victory.
However, Spurs had an opening goal disallowed as former FIFA referee Keith Hackett exclusively told Football Insider that Cristian Romero’s goal should have stood against West Ham.

The presenter Keys was in agreement with Hackett over the disallowed goal, comparing it to Man United’s dubious opener against Fulham earlier this season.
Highlighting the similarities and the lack of consistency, the former Sky Sports host took to X (13 September) and said: “My mind goes back to the goal [Man] United scored at Fulham when [Lenny] Yoro clearly pushed [Calvin] Bassey.

“Compare the alleged offence there.
Spurs are very unlucky.”

Even though the club captain would have been annoyed over his disallowed goal, Romero will be thrilled with how his side dominated proceedings at the London Stadium.
Although the Irons were on the front foot in the first 10 minutes, Frank’s team quickly stamped their authority, silencing the Hammers faithful.
Simons was relatively quiet during the match but showed his set-piece expertise to set up Pape Sarr’s opening goal.

The Dutchman, similar to Florian Wirtz who also swapped the Bundesliga for the Premier League, still needs to adapt to the pace of the English top-flight.
He is technically a superb player and I have no doubts he’ll come good, but Spurs fans must temper their expectations to allow him to integrate into the squad and the league.
An assist on debut will do him the world of good, but the ex-PSV maestro will also need to be aware that he will not play the shocking outfit of West Ham every week.
