Sven Botman has delivered a heartfelt message to former Newcastle colleague Alexander Isak following the striker's switch to Liverpool on Monday.
Isak, 25, had remained resolute since late July that he had featured in his last match for the Magpies and was determined to secure a spectacular transfer to the Premier League champions.
Despite a chaotic conclusion to the transfer window, the Swedish striker eventually achieved his ambition as his switch was rubber-stamped late on deadline day.
In a curt announcement, the Magpies declared: "Newcastle United can announce the sale of striker Alexander Isak to Liverpool for a significant British record transfer fee.
The Sweden international joined the Magpies from Real Sociedad in 2022 and made 109 appearances in all competitions."
