Highly-rated youngster Kieran Morrison has officially signed his first professional contract with Liverpool.

The 17-year-old has been a standout performer in Marc Bridge-Wilkinson’s U18s squad this season.

He has also showcased his talents for the U21s across various competitions including Premier League 2, the EFL Trophy, and the Premier League International Cup.

Initially deployed in central midfield at the start of the season, Morrison quickly transitioned to the right wing, where he has consistently impressed with his performances.

He has been a prolific contributor, netting a total of 13 goals, with several coming from long-range strikes, and providing seven assists.

In his most recent appearance against Sunderland last weekend, Morrison further showcased his leadership qualities by wearing the captain’s armband and scoring two goals.

Originally hailing from Manchester, Morrison, who represents Northern Ireland at the youth level, joined Liverpool at the U14 level after departing Manchester United.

Morrison will undoubtedly aspire to emulate the success of his compatriot Conor Bradley, who earned a breakthrough into the Liverpool first team this season.

Bradley has been among the cohort of young talents granted playing time by Jurgen Klopp.

During the 2023-24 campaign, the 20-year-old made 22 appearances for the Reds before unfortunately sustaining an ankle injury earlier this month.
