Liverpool have been linked with a player who has been described as ‘not from this world’ by a sporting director who worked at Bayern Munich.

It’s hard to tell what Liverpool’s plans are for the summer. Without a new manager in place, the recruitment team has a difficult job in terms of knowing what exactly will need to be done.

Their job is now to prepare for every possible scenario in terms of who the new manager might want to bring in.

But it’s not just the new manager that has be taken into consideration. Jurgen Klopp’s departure could have repercussions on his team.

Some of his players may feel like they have come to the end of the road for Liverpool and look to head elsewhere. In that scenario, Liverpool also need to prepare to find the right replacement for those players.

Former sporting director on Jamal Musiala and why he is out of this world

One player who could be up for consideration this summer is Jamal Musiala. He won’t be a cheap signing but it has been reported that he is considering his future and that Liverpool are interested.

Musiala is a supremely gifted footballer, and he has recently been praised by former Bayern Munich sporting director Michael Reschke alongside his Germany teammate, Florian Wirtz.

Speaking to The Athletic, Reschtke explained why Musiala is not only an ‘outstandingly talented’ player but why he is also ‘out of this world.’

“There are only a few different players, like Jamal Musiala, Jude Bellingham and Florian Wirtz — they are not only outstandingly talented, they have a mentality not from this world,” Reschtke said.

“There are also talented players who need their dancefloor at the right moment; a top player in the future may not be able to make his first step to a top club, and so it’s helpful to make steps between.”

Why Jamal Musiala could replace Mohamed Salah at Liverpool

One of the players who may consider his future this summer is Mohamed Salah. He will be 32-years-old by the end of the year, and Saudi Arabian clubs are still reportedly interested in him.

With one year left on his Liverpool contract, it feels like this summer would be the time for him to move if he was not offered an extension.

In that case, given Musiala’s star quality few players would be better placed to replace the Egyptian at Anfield than the German international.
