Kylian Mbappe has confirmed that he held transfer talks with Liverpool before deciding to stay with PSG this summer.
Mbappe signed a new three-year deal with the French club at the weekend after snubbing Real Madrid to stay in Paris in what became one of the biggest transfer sagas in recent memory.
We talked a little bit," Mbappe told The Telegraph.
Mbappe said: "I talked to Liverpool because it's the favourite club of my mum, my mum loves Liverpool.
The French international added that Liverpool actually had a stronger chance of signing him when he decided to leave Monaco before he joined PSG in 2017 aged 18.
Liverpool had also been strongly linked with Mbappe and the forward has revealed that he did consider a move to Anfield, before deciding to u-turn and remain at PSG.
