Paris Saint-Germain will not sell one of their star players to Liverpool, according to the latest report from France.

The Reds’ busy summer window has begun well, with the signing of Jeremie Frimpong and Armin Pesci heralding the beginning of Arne Slot’s rebuild.

The Dutchman made only one addition to the Liverpool squad he inherited from Jurgen Klopp last summer.

However, having understood the strengths and weaknesses of his players, Slot is now ready to make the team his and bring in the kind of players that will help him retain the Premier League title he won in his first season.

Frimpong replaces the departed Trent Alexander-Arnold, while the likes of Florian Wirtz and Milos Kerkez are expected to join the club in the coming days.

Liverpool are also said to be looking to sign a winger and a striker in addition to these players.

Several attacking players have ben linked with a possible switch to Liverpool especially as doubts remains over the futures of Luis Diaz, Darwin Nunez, Cody Gakpo and Darwin Nunez.

One attacking player that has been linked with a Liverpool switch in the last few days is PSG winger Bradley Barcola.

The French winger comes into the transfer window off the back of an impressive season with PSG, which saw him play a huge role in the club’s UEFA Champions League and Ligue 1 triumph.

In an article titled, “PSG closes the door on Bradley Barcola,” Foot Mercato revealed that the French club will not sell their prized assets despite strong interest from Liverpool and Bayern Munich.

“With 21 goals and 19 assists in 58 matches played, the best statistics of his young career, he’s bound to attract attention.

But Bayern Munich and Liverpool can already put away their checkbooks, PSG isn’t selling, and the player won’t be leaving this summer?

A shared desire to continue the adventure together,” the report noted.

“The player is also keen to continue the Parisian adventure, which began in 2023.”
