UFC star and avid Liverpool supporter Paddy Pimblett has issued an 'emotional' message after seeing the Reds be confirmed as Premier League champions.

Sunday evening saw Liverpool be officially crowned as Premier League title winners thanks to a 5-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur.

Goals from Luis Diaz, Alexis Mac Allister, Cody Gakpo, Mohamed Salah and a Destiny Udogie own goal clinched the three points and the title for the Reds.



The victory means that Arne Slot has guided Liverpool to the Premier League title in his first season as the club's head coach.

The final whistle at Anfield on Sunday sparked euphoric celebrations across the stadium, as well as on the streets of Liverpool itself.

Pimblett has often been vocal with his support for Liverpool and has done so again after the Reds were confirmed as Premier League champions.

The UFC star posted a message on Instagram, which was accompanied by photos of himself alongside his family.

"Got to watch the Reds become Premier League champions with my little angels last night," Pimblett wrote on Instagram.

"What a season we’ve had cannot wait to watch us be crowned champions and lift the Prem with my dad in a few weeks we’ve been waiting a lifetime for this it’s going to be emotional."

Liverpool now have four weeks to enjoy the accolade of being confirmed as Premier League champions before lifting the trophy on May 25.

The Reds will travel to face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge this weekend, where they could receive a guard of honour as champions for the first time.

will then face Arsenal at Anfield before going on to take on Brighton in their final away trip of the season.

That will be followed by Liverpool taking on Crystal Palace on the final day of the season, after which the trophy presentation in front of a sold-out Anfield will take place.
