Pape Sarr reacted on social media after confirmation of a Tottenham exit this summer.

Much like many members of Spurs’ squad last season, the Senegalese midfielder endured a massive regression in performance.

Sarr had a remarkably impressive 2023/24 campaign, displacing exit-linked Yves Bissouma in the heart of Tottenham’s midfield.

But last term, the 22-year-old was fortunate that Ange Postecoglou had so few options available to him, or else the former Metz man would likely have spent more of the season on the side-lines.

However, with a new season and a new manager in front of him, Sarr is seizing his opportunity to make amends.

The talented Senegal international scored an audacious effort for Tottenham in their 1-0 win over Arsenal on 31 July, having scored twice against Wycombe Wanderers in his side’s previous pre-season tie.

Whilst Sarr is being given an opportunity to impress in North London, his teammate Mikey Moore has chosen to go out on loan to Rangers.

The young winger is held in the highest regard at Tottenham, but is keen to play at a first-team level on a more regular basis.

Spurs shared a message to Moore on Instagram, wishing him the best, captioned: “Mikey Moore has joined Rangers on loan for the 2025/26 campaign.

Good luck, Mikey!”

Sarr reacted to the post by liking it, showing his support for the young winger.

Football Insider Verdict

Rangers might just be the perfect landing spot for a young starlet like Moore.

The Scottish giants are undergoing a huge overhaul of their squad this summer after new ownership took charge at Ibrox.

After years of Rangers sliding further and further towards the financial abyss, things are being straightened out by director Kevin Thelwell and the team he has curated.

Russell Martin has been appointed as new boss at Ibrox, and the club have recruited heavily, but more importantly, they have recruited smartly.

Moore will be playing alongside rising stars such as Djeidi Gassama and Thelo Aasgaard, whilst more established names like Max Aarons and Joe Rothwell have also made the move north.

Celtic remain the Goliath of Scotland, but Spurs’ young winger has a great opportunity to make his mark at Ibrox.
