Liverpool parade crash suspect Paul Doyle appeared tearful as he entered the courtroom this morning.
Doyle, 53, from Burghill Road in West Derby, faces seven charges and is alleged to have been driving the Ford Galaxy during in the incident while fans were celebrating Liverpool FC's Premier League title win on Monday.
Police said 79 people were injured when the car drove into supporters on Water Street at around 6pm, with seven people still in hospital when Merseyside Police revealed his charges yesterday.
Senior Merseyside Police detectives, two uniformed traffic officers, several Crown Prosecution Service solicitors and probation workers are in the court waiting for the case to be called.

The 53 year old, from Burghill Road in West Derby, was arrested after a car ploughed into a crowd and injured 79 fans as they were celebrating Liverpool FC's Premier League title win on Monday.
He will appear at Liverpool Magistrates' Court this morning.
A total of 79 pedestrians, including four children as young as nine and a 78 year old victim, were injured after being hit by the car, with 50 needing hospital care.

Two police vans are parked up outside Liverpool magistrates’ court for the appearance of Doyle.
Uniformed officers are also standing in the square outside the court building.
