The hunt for Liverpool’s new manager has taken plenty of twists and turns yet.
But another manager that has now emerged as a potential alternative is Feyenoord manager Arne Slot.
Paul Joyce has now reported that Liverpool are targeting the Dutch manager to succeed Jurgen Klopp.
The 45-year-old has been gaining popularity in the Netherlands, especially after helping Feyenoord win the Eredivisie championship the previous year.
Although PSV seems certain to win the championship with one more game to go, Feyenoord is still in the running this season.
Feyenoord made it to the Europa Conference League final and finished third in the Eredivisie in his debut season.
But Feyenoord’s Eredivisie championship in his second season aroused more interest, including ties to the Premier League.
Despite some of the speculation he attracted last summer, Slot opted to extend his contract with Feyenoord in May 2023 – committing to the club until 2026.
