Paul Merson has claimed that one-time Liverpool man Dominic Solanke is ‘too good’ to be playing in the Championship, as he told Soccer Special on Sky Sports (14/09/21 at 7:30 pm).

The former midfielder stated that Solanke, during his time at Liverpool, had ‘too many good players’ ahead of him.

Then you can move back into the Premier League.

“I think he is too good for this league,” said Merson.

If he does then, like Adam Armstrong who moved from Blackburn to Southampton this summer, he might earn a spot at a mid-table Premier League club.

Scoring goals here gives him confidence.
