Paul Scholes has tipped Liverpool to win the Premier League title
Paul Scholes has backed Liverpool to retain their Premier League title, but the former Manchester United star has issued a warning to the Reds ahead of the new season.
Arne Slot's squad is on the brink of launching their 2025/26 campaign, with ambitions of securing consecutive titles following last season's victory.
Liverpool are set to face Crystal Palace at Wembley in the Community Shield this Sunday, before squaring off against Bournemouth five days later as the Premier League season kicks off.

The Reds have seen significant changes since their title win, having splashed around £350million this summer, and further additions could still be on the cards.
New arrivals include Florian Wirtz, Jeremie Frimpong, Milos Kerkez and Hugo Ekitike, while Alexander Isak might also join the ranks.
Numerous pundits have weighed in on Liverpool's prospects for the upcoming season, with some suggesting that signing Isak would seal the deal.

However, Arsenal and Manchester City will certainly challenge that notion, having made substantial signings of their own this summer.
Both Mikel Arteta and Pep Guardiola will be keen to build upon last season's performances when they underperformed.
Despite this, Scholes is backing Liverpool to triumph once more, although he believes there is one issue that Slot and sporting director Richard Hughes need to address first.
"I can't look past Liverpool," Scholes stated during The Overlap Fan Debate.
"I still think they need a centre-half though, because if one of them (Virgil van Dijk or Ibrahima Konate) get injured, it could be an issue."

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher agreed with Scholes, backing his former team to retain their title and taking a different approach to his predictions.
"I think this could be the first season I've ever predicted Liverpool to win the league," Carragher admitted.
"I think I've always been City, to be honest, with obviously Guardiola.
