Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City have been in a three-horse race for the Premier League title over the last couple of months.

The three teams have all been on top form and seemingly showed no signs of letting up.

However, in recent weeks, Liverpool have had a dip in form and have lost games to teams such as Everton and Crystal Palace.

By losing these must-win games, it has put the Reds in an uneasy position as they now find themselves three points adrift of the top spot with no games in hand.

Additionally, Liverpool’s goal difference is much worse than that of their counterparts which also puts them at a disadvantage.

And, with the amount of points that the team have dropped recently, it now feels as if the title is out of reach, leaving  just Man City and Arsenal gunning for the title.

Jurgen Klopp has even remedied these thoughts by saying the following:

“I am pretty sure City and Arsenal see it as a two-horse race,” said Klopp after the Everton game.

“They might say something differently publicly but I don’t expect them to lose two games.

“I don’t expect them to lose.

Since this statement, Pep Guardiola has shared his thoughts on the Reds title hopes and claimed that “nobody is safe.”

“Many things can happen,” he said, via the Manchester Evening News.

“What happened to Liverpool dropping two games against Palace and Everton can happen to us and happen to Arsenal.

“Everton playing for their lives — like Forest.

Maybe it was a real contender for us, my appreciation for Liverpool is higher than ever?

You see the game they draw at Old Trafford, or yesterday, Pickford was exceptional.

“Against Palace, the chances they miss. Tell me the reason why.

We came here from a terrible and long schedule but the players are still there and now it’s just recover and think of the next one.”

Although many people believe that Liverpool’s title chances are dead and buried, evidently Guardiola doesn’t feel the same.

Liverpool winning the title was a big ask at the start of the season following their performances during the 2022/23 campaign.

Although the Reds had been touted to obtain a quadruple at certain points in the season, realistically, as Klopp himself said, neither Mikel Arteta or Guardiola’s men will lose two games, never mind both.

The Cityzens currently find themselves in second place with 76 points, just one behind the league leaders.

To make matters worse for the Gunners, the Manchester-based club have a game in hand and a win would take them straight to the top of the table.

Only time will tell which team will reign victorious come the end of the season.
