Liverpool has undoubtedly begun the 2023/24 season well. Five games in, Jürgen Klopp's team has won four times and drawn once, showing much better signs than it did for the majority of the previous campaign. Manchester City is always expected to lead the way and is top of the pile at the moment, while made big strides last season and then spent big during the summer.
Former Liverpool and Chelsea midfielder has spotted enough already to believe that the Reds could use that advantage and push Manchester City again, as they so often have before.
"I think Liverpool can push City [the closest].
"I think Liverpool and Arsenal will be the two teams in and around City, and as Joe said, hopefully they take it right to the wire.
Liverpool.com says: It might be slightly early to sense a title push from Liverpool but the signs have been good.
