The 2006 FA Cup Final is widely considered to be one of the greatest of modern times .

"I remember when we won the FA Cup in 2006, we played West Ham in the final," Crouch recalled on the BBC's That Peter Crouch Podcast .

And former Liverpool forward Peter Crouch has revealed the unlikely inspiration behind the epic victory: a dance.

Liverpool's meeting with West Ham in Cardiff is now known as 'the Gerrard final' because of the heroics of the Reds' skipper that day, but the game could have been so different.

"They'd had a good run in the FA Cup, obviously, and they had a little thing going on when they were winning, it was this little dance.

"At half-time we were losing to West Ham, and part of the teamtalk was 'we don't want to see them celebrate, we don't want to see them dancing round the cup.'

Paul Konchesky's cross looped in to re-establish the Londoners' lead, then Gerrard scored a remarkable goal in the last minute to send to game into extra-time, after which the Reds won on penalties.
