Former Liverpool striker Peter Crouch says new signing Darwin Nunez will be 'fuming' at Jurgen Klopp's decision to leave him on the bench for their opening game against Fulham.

Crouch says he wouldn't be happy with the decision in Nunez' shoes but says you can 'understand' Klopp 's decision to stick with Firmino.

"He got four in pre-season, one in the Community Shield, if I’m a striker I’m fuming, I’d be angry.

Klopp's side left themselves with it all to do in their opening game of the Premier League campaign.

"Jurgen’s a different boss, he’s a bit scarier than Rafa.

The Liverpool new boy had a positive pre-season and scored against Manchester City in the FA Community Shield last weekend.

I wouldn’t be happy put it that way but you can understand Klopp’s thinking and you have to respect that."
