Liverpool are famous for their flag and banners, and they now have a new-look one ready for the upcoming season.

Anfield is one of the most feared stadiums in the world, with it being a cauldron of noise that intimidates any team that has to play there.

It is always a sea of red, with fans waving their scarves and flags, while singing at the top of their lungs to act as the 12th man.

Former players and managers are always celebrated, although they have to have earned the right to have their song bellowing around the ground or have their face on a banner.

After just one season, Arne Slot has made his way onto an elusive flag that only six people have made it onto before him, showing just how much of an impact the Dutchman has made in such a short period of time.

One of the most famous and recognisable banners Liverpool have is the one of their most successful managers, with only five previously being on it.

Before this season, the banner included Bill Shankly, Bob Paisley, Joe Fagan, Kenny Dalglish, Rafa Benitez, and Jürgen Klopp.

Now, one more face has been added, this, of course, being Slot.

The banner itself is six metres wide and three metres tall, with it being displayed on the Kop before every home game.

It is a tribute to those managers who have led the Reds to European cup and/or league title success, hence why Slot has been added so early.

It may seem a small gesture to some, but it is one of the biggest honours a manager can get at Anfield, with Slot now etched into the history of the club.

Saying Slot could end his Liverpool tenure as one of their most successful managers ever seems a bold statement given the fact he has been there just one season, but it is not totally out of the question.

Based on how heavily he has been backed this summer, he has all the ingredients he needs to be successful, with the expectation being that many more trophies will come his way.

He is five trophies away from overtaking Gerard Houllier as the fifth most successful manager in Liverpool history, a feat very much achievable.

He is 18 away from the top, however, with Bob Paisley winning 19, indicating he still has a long way to go yet.
