Liverpool are turning their attention to selling players, and they are about to make some big money.

The Reds have spent over £300m this summer already and this figure is still expected to rise, with the club now hoping to sell some stars to make room for some even bigger arrivals.

Luis Diaz has been linked with a move away all summer and his future finally looks clear, with Liverpool agreeing a deal with Bayern Munich to sell the 28-year-old.

The Bundesliga champions will pay up to €75m (£65.4m) for the Colombian, meaning the Reds have made a £23m profit on the winger.

Now, the final steps are being put into place for ‘Lucho’ to complete his Anfield exit, and the date of his medical has been confirmed.

The Reds have only just flown from Hong Kong to Japan to continue their pre-season tour of Asia, with their next game on Wednesday 30th July against Yokohama F.

Marinos.

Despite Diaz flying out with the team, he has now been given permission to fly to Munich and, according to Fabrizio Romano, he will do so on Monday to complete his medical on Tuesday.

The journalist has confirmed that the 28-year-old will sign a four-year deal, and this is expected to be completed in the next 24 hours.

It will certainly be a quick turnaround from Japan to Germany, but Diaz has been keen on this move for quite some time, with the wheels finally in motion.

Bayern fans are not best pleased about signing Diaz despite his talent being clear for all to see, suggesting he has a big job to sway their opinions.

Liverpool supporters may feel a little sad to see the Colombian depart Anfield this summer, but for the fee they have got, not many will have too many complaints.

The Reds were always planning to make some sales before moving on to any other targets, but now Diaz is almost gone, they can turn their attention to the biggest target of them all.

Liverpool are now expected to make a bid for Alexander Isak, with Romano confirming that an official bid is only ‘a matter of time’.

The Swede only wants to join Liverpool and although he will cost around the £150m mark, the Reds are very keen to bring him in, and this is despite already signing Hugo Ekitike.

The next few days, and maybe weeks, will be a big period on the red half of Merseyside, with the Reds’ transfer business potentially being season-defining.
