The Players Together charity has launched the biggest signed shirt raffle in football history to raise money for NHS Charities Together.

Fans will have the opportunity to enter to win a shirt from a choice of one of 500 Premier League players via online auction website eBay.

Each entry costs just £5 with all proceeds going directly to NHS Charities Together, which represents more than 200 member charities.

Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson was instrumental in setting up the Players Together initiative following the outbreak of coronavirus, and is one of the stars to donate a shirt to the raffle.

Man Utd's Harry Maguire, West Ham's Mark Noble and Watford's Troy Deeney are all also at the forefront of the fundraiser, and there will be shirts from all first-team players of all 20 Premier League clubs up for grabs.

All fans have to do is visit the eBay website and select their choice of players' shirt to enter the competition for.

The raffle starts at 7pm on Wednesday June 3, with all winners - due to be selected at random - will be notified by July 1.

A statement sent out by the fund said: "PlayersTogether is a collective player led initiative set up by Premier League footballers, to bring together players from all clubs to stand as one in support of the frontline NHS workers, volunteers and patients during the coronavirus crisis.

"The players have now partnered with eBay UK to launch the #ShirtsForHeroes charity raffle which will see signed football shirts from every player in the Premier League raffled off to raise essential funds."

Rob Hattrell, Vice President at eBay UK, said: "We have been inspired by the players’ collective approach and are delighted to hand over our platform to support their brilliant initiative.
