Here’s my top five players of the season, with some honourable mentions…

No.5 Nat Phillips

Kicking things off on my list is Phillips.

He proved himself a worthy defender on the pitch, achieving seven clean sheets out of his 17 appearances and even managing to bag himself a goal.

No.4 Trent Alexander-Arnold

Apps 36/38 | Crosses 297 | Passes 2,381 | Assists 7 | Goals 2

Trent’s performances earns him the spot at number four.

Trent managed to tot up the most crosses in the team this season as well as sharing the same number of assists as Sadio Mane, Andy Robertson, and Roberto Firmino. 

No.3 Sadio Mané

Apps 35/38 | Shots 71 | Goals 11 | Assists 7

Mané soars in at third on the list, some might argue (including the man himself) that he’s not had his best season, but despite drop-offs all over the squad, the statistics show the Senegal international has still been an important cog in the red machine.

He was Liverpool’s second biggest goal threat, having bagged 11 times and notched up seven assists, and remains one of the best wingers in the Premier League.

No.2 Andy Robertson

Robbo takes the spot at number two.

Robbo has made the most passes this season at a staggering 2,680 and has currently made 294 crosses so far, only three less than Trent.

No.1 Mo Salah

Apps 37/38 | Shots 126 | Goals 22 | Assists 4

An obvious choice at number one for many.

Scoring 22 goals this season, finishing just one behind Golden Boot winner Harry Kane.
