Okay, so we all know the decision by Thomas Bramall to rule out Morgan Rogers' goal yesterday was extremely controversial.

This is because the official blew his whistle before the ball hit the back of the net, meaning VAR couldn't check the foul on Altay Bayindir.

The General consensus was that it was a terrible decision.

However, a new angle of the footage shows that Rogers stands on Bayindir's hand before getting the ball, which would be a foul.

As a result, Bramall could have actually been spot on with his decision even if he shouldn't have blown his whistle.

The Liverpool parade for the Premier League trophy started at 2:30pm, and it's set to end at about 7:30.

The scenes on the streets of Merseyside have been incredible, with hundreds of thousands of Reds fans in attendance.

Remember, they didn't get to do this in 2020 due to COVID, so it's like a double celebration.

Someone has even managed to get a red flare on top of the Liver Building.

What a great year of football this has been for the teams that never win anything.

Tottenham and Newcastle United both ended their trophy droughts, but the longest drought of all belonged to Crystal Palace.

The Eagles had never won a major tournament in their entire existence until the FA Cup final earlier this month.

Saturday, May 17 will forever be etched in the minds of all Palace fans, and Eberechi Eze and the rest of the squad are heroes.

And to celebrate the victory, they've been taking part in an open-top bus parade around south London.

And just look at these scenes.

Commenting on whether De Bruyne will be playing at Napoli next term, De Laurentiis said: "Probably, yes."

Before adding: "I know that he has already bought, or rather I believe he has already bought a beautiful house.

"This morning I spoke to him, his wife and his nine-year-old son on a video call.”

It's not just Liverpool fans that are celebrating, Crystal Palace's supporters are at it too.

Fans are packed inside Selhurst Park with the players parading the FA Cup.

It is the club's first major honour in their history after they beat Manchester City 1-0 earlier this month at Wembley.

Addressing the fans, boss Oliver Glasner said: "I couldn't be more pleased to manage a club like Crystal Palace with fans like you guy.

"We had tough moments but you were always behind us."

As for goalkeeper Dean Henderson, who saved Omar Marmoush's penalty, he remarked: "It's phenomenal.

"Look at the turnout; they have been our 12th man all season."

Jack Harrison is one of four Everton players that will be returning to their parent clubs following their loan spells in Merseyside.

The Toffees have confirmed that as well as Harrison, Jesper Lindstrom, Orel Mangala and Armando Broja's time at Everton is over.

Though Everton have stated that they are in negotiations with Brazilian side Flamengo to keep Charly Alcaraz at the club following his impressive form since linking up in January.

Harrison, who has spent the last two years at Everton on loan from Leeds, scored five goals in 73 games in all competitions.

As for Lindstrom, he failed to score in any of his 25 top-flight outings after arriving from Napoli last summer.

Midfielder Mangala, who is going back to Lyon, hasn't featured since January after suffering a cruciate ligament knee injury on his 21st appearance.

Meanwhile Chelsea loanee Broja couldn't find the back of the net in his 11 matches.

Manchester City are reportedly keen on a deal to sign Wolves left-back Rayan Ait-Nouri.

The 23-year-old is regarded as one of the top full-backs in the Premier League since joining the Midlands outfit on an initial loan deal in 2021.

This season has been the Algeria international's finest campaign to date.

He has chipped in with four goals and seven assists from 37 top-flight outings.

Fulham's Antonee Robinson is the only defender in the division to have registered more assists than Ait-Nouri.

And according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, his fine form has seen the Citizens to ask Wolves for deal conditions.

Pep Guardiola is said to have put the player high on his shortlist with contacts expected to continue between the two clubs.

Charlton may have just returned to the Championship - but they're already set their sights on winning back promotion to the Premier League.

The Addicks beats Leyton Orient in the League One play-off final on Sunday to seal their return to England's second-tier after dropping down in 2020.

And ex-boss Lee Bowyer, who managed the club between 2018-2021, insists t=plans are being made for to return to the Premier League after being relegated in 2007.

Rasmus Hojlund is an issue for Manchester United - they must address their striker situation.

That's the view of ex-Newcastle boss Alan Pardew, who isn't convinced the Denmark international is good enough to lead the Red Devils' line.

Hojlund has struggled to settle at Old Trafford since joining from Atalanta in a deal rising to £72million in 2023.

He has scored just 26 goals in 95 matches in all competitions - finding the back of the net on just four occasions in the Premier League this term.

Speaking on talkSPORT, Pardew said of Hojlund: "Whenever I see him play, if I was the manager of the opposition, I would have my two centre-halves giving him no time, and that's exactly what's happened to him.

"He gets no time.

Full effort, no hesitation. But this situation has shown me that I need to take better care of myself.

“Poor lifestyle habits, lack of physical activity, and family predispositions, unfortunately, brought me here.  The good news is that I’m expected to make a full recovery, though I’m currently unable to carry out the demanding responsibilities of a sporting director.

“I’ll remain in touch with my colleagues as we’ve always operated as a team.”

Rosicky spent ten years at the Emirates from 2006-2016 - scoring 28 goals in 247 matches in all competitions.

Jobe Bellingham is set to travel to Germany to hold talks with Eintracht Frankfurt, talkSPORT understands.

The 19-year-old could be on the move this summer following an impressive season where he helped Sunderland gain promotion to the Premier League.

And it is believed that Germany is considered an appealing avenue, given the success his brother Jude achieved at Borussia Dortmund.

While Jobe will speak with Frankfurt, who have secured Champions League football, it is understood that it is purely a fact-finding mission as he in no rush to make a decision over his future.

Bellingham could choose to remain at the Stadium of Light after they ended their eight-year spell out of the top-flight.

However, at this stage, should the teenager depart Sunderland, it is thought that Dortmund would be the favourites to secure his services.

Arsenal are expected to accelerate a move to sign either RB Leipzig starlet Benjamin Sesko or Sporting Lisbon striker Viktor Gyokeres, talkSPORT understands.

The Gunners had been waiting to see if Newcastle failed to secure Champions League football, where they would have pressed ahead with a move for Alexander Isak.

But with Isak set to remain at St James' Park, Arsenal now have Sesko and Gyokeres in their sights, with a decision needing to be made on who they go after.

It is believed that Sesko has a performance-related clause set at around £67million.

Sesko, who is also on Chelsea and Liverpool's radar, was pitched Arsenal's project last summer and again in January.

As for Gyokeres, he is available for £60m, but may command higher wages and agent fees than Sesko.

Arsenal have competition from Chelsea and Manchester United in the race to secure Gyokeres' services.

Though both the Blues and the Red Devils are also battling each other to snap up Ipswich Town's Liam Delap.

Liam Delap is expected to make a decision on his future this week - with Chelsea hoping Champions League football will be enough to sign him, talkSPORT understands.

The 22-year-old is expected to depart relegated Ipswich this summer, with the striker boasting a £30million release clause.

Delap, who will shortly be departing for the Under-21 European Championship, has spoken to Chelsea, Manchester United, Newcastle and Everton.

United had thought they had done enough to secure his services following a string pitch, in addition to believing that Delap wanted a return to the north west.

But it appears that Chelsea are now leading the race, with boss Enzo Maresca knowing the player during his time as Manchester City's assistant manager.

Commenting on where Delap may end up, talkSPORT's chief football corresponding Alex Crook said on air: "My understanding was that he was leaning towards Manchester United because he wanted to go back and live in the north west.

But we're trying to get clarification."

Gabby Agbonlahor has labelled referee Thomas Bramall's decision to disallow Morgan Rogers' goal against Manchester United an 'absolute disgrace'.

The Aston Villa star thought he had opened the deadlock at Old Trafford on Sunday after capitalising on goalkeeper Altay Bayindir's soft hands to poke the ball into the empty net.

Despite replays showing Bayindir never had two hands on the ball before Rogers kicked it away, Bramall blew his whistle for a foul before the ball struck the net, meaning VAR couldn't get involved.

Villa ultimately went on to lose the match 2-0, where they ended up missing out on Champions League football on goal difference.

And ex-Villa striker Agbonlahor has now vented his anger on the incident during the Sports Breakfast show.

He said: "I think the decision was an absolute disgrace.

So yeah, if anything is true, let’s see in the summer.”

Florian Wirtz has agreed personal terms with Liverpool as a move to Anfield edges closer, talkSPORT understands.

The Reds are in pole position to sign the Bayer Leverkusen midfielder with Manchester City and Bayern Munich out of the race.

Bayern have accepted defeat in the hunt for the talented Germany international after he told the Bundesliga champions he favours a move to Liverpool.

Meanwhile the Citizens have ended their interest in the midfielder due to the eye-watering costs involved in a transfer.

Instead, City are expected to pursue a move for Nottingham Forest star Morgan Gibbs-White.

Reports have claimed on Monday that the Reds have formalised their interest with a first offer in excess of £84million.

Though talkSPORT understands that club-to-club negotiations will take place later today.

Leverkusen are thought to value Wirtz between £110m-£125m.

Al-Hilal haven't given up on hiring Inter boss Simone Inzaghi and consider the Italian their top choice to replace Jorge Jesu, talkSPORT understands.

However, suggestions he has already agreed to join are premature.

Hilal won't know Inzaghi's decision until after the Champions League Final, and are respectful of the fact his focus is currently elsewhere.

Inzaghi has not given any green light yet.

Marco Silva has already turned the role down, and has stated he'll remain at Fulham.

Andoni Iraola was also approached, but is expected to stay at Bournemouth.

Inzaghi has always been a leading contender for Al-Hilal, but they want a manager in time for the Club World Cup, which Inter have also qualified for.

Inter want to keep Inzaghi and have also made this clear to him.

Hilal will also push Bruno Fernandes for a final answer this week as they look for marquee names in time for the tournament in America.

Tottenham are unlikely to make an announcement on Ange Postecoglou's future before the Europa League winner goes on holiday tomorrow, talkSPORT understands.

Brentford boss Thomas Frank is emerging as a strong contender to replace Postecoglou after Marco Silva publicly stated he will remain as Fulham manager next season.

However, chairman Daniel Levy is mulling over whether to proceed with plans to sack Postecoglou after Spurs' Europa League triumph over Manchester United last week.

Before that 1-0 win in Bilbao sources close to Postecoglou were convinced the Australian would definitely be axed.

Frank has a hefty release clause in his Brentford contract, believed to be in the region of £9m.

The Dane also has a long-standing relationship with Spurs' technical director Johan Lange.
