Alexander Isak is set to start for Liverpool this afternoon.

Isak started and scored in the Carabao Cup in midweek after coming off the bench for his league debut last weekend.

His fitness is still questionable and Arne Slot has been vocal in making sure that expectations are realistic for his minutes.

However, with Hugo Ekitike suspended following his strange red card, Isak is now coming in to play from the off.

Team news will be confirmed at 1:45pm...

Manchester City have announced that Nico O'Reilly has signed a new deal.

The versatile Englishman has put pen to paper on a five-year contract at the Etihad.

O'Reilly is an academy graduate and has become a member of Pep Guardiola's first team in the last year.

He has made 27 senior appearances for the Citizens, and was delighted to have his long-term future sorted.

He said: "This is a day I will never forget.

This is the best place for a footballer to be.

“I want to thank everyone who works in the Academy, all my teammates, Pep, the coaching staff and the City fans because without all those people supporting me along the way, none of this would have been possible for me.”

Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner has been speaking to the media ahead of his side facing Liverpool in the Premier League tomorrow.

Marc Guehi was hours away from joining the Reds on transfer deadline day only to see the deal collapse at the end because Igor Julio chose to go to West Ham rather than Palace.

Oliver Glasner refused to sell Guehi without a replacement and reports suggest the Austrian informed Steve Parish that he would resign if his captain was sold without a replacement, so the deal fell through.

And ahead of the match at Selhurst Park, Glasner has been speaking about Guehi's attitude.

He said: "I have no concerns at all.

"It is part of the noise of the Premier League and it is what you sign up for.

"If results aren't good, which they haven't been, then there is always speculation, noise and negativity."
