I'm not sure how much more of this he can take.

After being dumped out of the Carabao Cup by League Two Grimsby Town, United have just about secured three points in a crazy game against Burnley.

The Clarets went fully route one in the final minutes of added-time in an attempt to get another equaliser, but the Red Devils held on as their players and fans breathed a collective sigh of relief.

But that's nothing compared to their gaffer, who - just as against Grimsby - refused to watch Fernandes step up to take his spot kick.

Get that man a stiff drink!

MANCHESTER, ENGLAND – AUGUST 30: Ruben Amorim, Manager of Manchester United, reacts during the Premier League match between Manchester United and Burnley at Old Trafford on August 30, 2025 in Manchester, England.

not that Sunderland fans will care.

They're two wins from three on their return to the Premier League!

The United captain takes responsibility to grab all three points for his club, and he doesn't hesitate.

So much pressure on that one kick, and he's buried it into the bottom left corner just beyond the outstretched fingertips of Dubravka.

Fair play.

Massive cojones.

Amad Diallo has his shirt pulled as he's running into the area, and he goes down.

It's soft, but a shirt pull is a shirt pull, and United can win it here.

Brentford toiled for so long to get their goal, and now they're level again!

Le Fee scores from the spot after a penalty was given for a Rico Henry foul on Habib Diarra at a corner kick.

Wolves pull another goal back to make David Moyes' men a little nervous.

Substitute Gomes took advantage of Everton's defence going to sleep to dart into the box to poke in a cross from the left.

Squeaky bum time for the Toffees now...

The Bees and their striker finally have their goal and, like with Burnley, this one will stand.

Thiago is there are the back post to head in a looping cross.

Brentford have had a goal disallowed and a missed penalty in this game, but they now have the lead they deserve.

This one will count - Burnley are level again!

A shot comes in and Altay Bay?nd?r doesn't get enough on it.

The ball pops back out into the area and Anthony is the quickest man through a bundle of red shirts to poke the ball in.

It's gone in via two deflections, but it's a precious goal for the Clarets.

Foster has just rounded the goalkeeper and put the ball in the net for his second of the game, but the offside flag is up.

But, hang on, the semi-automatic offside graphic has just been shown, and it doesn't look offside at all.

Can you be offside by your arm?

Another strange one...

One of United's big summer signings gets his first Premier League goal and the Red Devils are back in front.

This time it's shocking defending from Burnley as Mbeumo is unmarked and allowed to get on the end of a cut-back.

He slams the ball home and the Old Trafford crowd is going wild.

Burnley were in front for seconds.

The Clarets are level!

It's out of nothing, but it's catastrophic defending from United again.

Jacob Bruun Larsen is given so much space to bend a cross into the area and Foster has just ghosted into the box unmarked to prod the ball in.

It's another assist from Jack Grealish - his fourth in two games for Everton - with a delicious dink around the last man.

But the praise for this goal belongs to KDH, who collected Grealish's pass and smashed the ball into the near post top corner.

Everton are really having fun now.

This is the Jack Grealish we remember!

Wolves pull one back through Hwang, who converts a cross with Jordan Pickford in no-man's land.

But Everton are back in front just minutes later with a brilliant team goal!

Dewsbury-Hall and Grealish link up really well and a dummy from Beto in the area provides Ndiaye the perfect opportunity to score.

It's on a plate for him, and he buries it from close-range.

Darren Bent for talkSPORT: "Jack Grealish has been, head and shoulders, the best player on the pitch.

"This first half has been all about Jack Grealish."

Oh dear, this doesn't look good.

Matheus Cunha has been a breath of fresh air in this Man United team since his arrival from Wolves this summer.

And that's why Ruben Amorim can't even watch as he's taken off the field with an injury.

The summer signing takes a seat on the turf and signals to the bench that he can't go on.

Obviously too early to tell, but given that a number of his teammates came over to speak with the new United star as he exited the field, it can't be good.

United are in front at Old Trafford, and it's really, really unlucky on Burnley.

Casemiro's bullet header from a corner smacks off the crossbar and hits Burnley's Josh Cullen in the face.

And it's at such point-blank range that Martin Dubravka can only flap at the ball to try and keep it out.

It was 50-50.

talkSPORT's Sam Matterface spoke to Chelsea's Trevoh Chalobah after the controversial 2-0 win over Fulham.

And he was full of praise for the referee for the decisions made in the game - including the call to rule out Fulham's opening goal for a 'careless foul' from Muniz on the Blues star.

Well, he would say that wouldn't he...

And it's an assist from Jack Grealish - with his head!

Everton win a corner and they can't clear their lines.

The Toffees are able to recycle the ball a few times, with a lofted pass eventually being sent into the penalty area again.

Grealish is there is nod the ball towards Beto, who scores with a header of his own in the six yard box.

Darren Bent for talkSPORT: "Grealish is involved in everything good that Everton have done so far."

A very lively start to this game and the Cherries have the early lead!

A brilliant pass finds Evanilson on the left side of Tottenham's box, and his left-footed shot is deflected over Vicario and into his net.

It's the first competative goal Spurs have conceded under Thomas Frank!

Three points go to Chelsea, which puts the Blues top of the Premier League table, for now.

But Fulham will rightly be very aggrieved by this result.

The away fans are clapping their players, who are wandering over to their end to return their applause, after a game where it appeared every major referee decision went against them.

We'd rather finish a football game by talking about the football - we are talkSPORT after all - but after a game like this, how can we?

These VAR calls will dominate the conversation this weekend...

Less than 20 minutes to go and Chelsea have been the more dominant force since the break.

Fulham had a brilliant first-half but have just had the stuffing knocked out of them by two baffling calls from the officials.

It will be interesting to say what the PGMOL say about this one later on today...
