THE REDS STRIKE FIRST!!

Huge relief from Gakpo who had wasted a huge opportunity to give the home side the lead moments earlier.

A long-ball from Robertson had released the Dutchman through on goal over the top and a simple square for Salah looked to be 1-0.

However, Gakpo selfishly tried to go alone and was crowded out by the Arsenal backline, but the danger wasn't fully dealt with.

Robertson recycles play and drills in a near-post cross for Gakpo to plant a header past Raya.

LUIS DIAZ IS DENIED BY DAVID RAYA!

Mohamed Salah seems destined to get an assist that would put him on the cusp of Thierry Henry's record, but somehow Diaz doesn't score.

It's a lovely ball from the outside of Curtis Jones' boot to find Salah in the box, and the Egyptian unselfishly tees up his teammate.

Diaz has time to steady himself almost in the six-yard box but somehow can't beat a diving Raya.

BUKAYO SAKA MISSES A HUGE OPPORTUNITY!

It's a well-worked free-kick routine that catches out the home side, as the majority of Arsenal players all stand offside in the book.

Liverpool attempt to spring the trap by rushing out early, but Saka arrives from deep as Odegaard clips a cross to the back post.

It's timed so Saka is onside and unmarked at the back post, but he rolls his first-time half volley wide of the far post.

Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis is on the pitch at full-time after his side are held to a 2-2 draw by relegated Leicester.

It looks like he's saying a few choice words to Nuno Espirito Santo - the home fans respond by singing their manager's name.

Meanwhile, it's now nine Premier League defeats at home for United this season.

That hasn't happened since 1962.

West Ham arrived without a win in eight matches, but Graham Potter claims a massive scalp to leapfrog the Red Devils in the table.

And finally, it's Premier League defeat number 20 of the season for Spurs as they fall to just above the three relegated clubs.

BOWEN DOUBLES THE HAMMERS LEAD!

The home side are caught cold on the counter-attack as the combination of Kudus and Wan-Bissaka comes up trumps again.

This time, it's the latter who pulls the ball back in the box, and Bowen is unmarked at the back post to tap home from close range.

It's gone from bad to worse for Ruben Amorim, who had already lost Leny Yoro through injury ten minutes earlier.

A HUGE MOMENT FOR WOOD TO BREAK HIS BARREN RUN!

Forest captain Morgan Gibbs-White, who scored the level, now has an assist as the home side come from behind to lead.

He lifts a brilliant looping cross deep into the box for Wood to plant a header inside the near post for his 20th goal of the season.

EZE IS AT THE DOUBLE TO DOWN SPURS!

The England star has scored five goals in his past four games and just can't stop finding the back of the net at the moment.

Eze started and finished a sweeping Palace counter-attack after an outside of the boot pass releases Ismaila Sarr in behind.

The latter continues his run into the box and pulls it back for Eze to tuck into the bottom far corner.

Manchester United are 45 minutes away from a ninth home defeat of the season.

Meanwhile, West Ham are on course to end their eight-match winless run - Tomas Soucek's goal has them ahead at the break.

Elsewhere, Crystal Palace take a slender advantage into the second-half after Eberechi Eze scored for the third game in a row.

And finally, it's honours even between Nottingham Forest and Leicester in the east-Midlands derby.

THIRD TIME LUCKY!

Minutes earlier, Maxence Lacroix has the ball in the back of the net, but his goal was chalked off for flicking the arm of Marc Guehi.

Jean-Philippe Mateta, the man responsible for the first disallowed goal, engineers this one after releasing Daniel Munoz.

He squares it for Eze to roll into an empty net.

VAR has another look to see if there's any reason to disallow a third Palace goal, but eventually the visiting fans are allowed to celebrate.

OLD TRAFFORD IS SILENCED!!

Wan-Bissaka threads a clever ball down the line into the box for Kudus to run towards the byline.

He smashes a low ball across the six-yard box, and Soucek gets in front of Amass to turn the ball home, an inch from the goal-line.

Huge blow for Spurs as Dejan Kulusevski goes off injured!

The Swede has struggled for fitness in 2025, and lasts less than 20 minutes at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

His potential absence can't be understated enough, with the Europa League final just around the corner.

James Maddison is already confirmed to be sidelined for Bilbao, and now Kulusevski could be confined to the treatment room as well.

He's withdrawn for teenager Mikey Moore.

HUGE GOAL IN THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE RACE!

The Tricky Trees made a better start but have fallen behind after a Thomas long throw finds its way to El Khannouss.

Sels manages to keep out the latter's striker, but Coady pounces on the loose ball and nods home the rebound.

The Eagles' strike is ruled out for offside, and it's a controversial one!

The initial pass to Jean-Philippe Mateta at the start of the move before the striker laid it off to Eberechi Eze has been flagged by VAR.

A huge warning sign for Spurs as what came next was all too easy!

Adrian Durham told talkSPORT: "It's absolutely ludicrous that that goal was ruled offside.

"This win is so important for us.

"I like to score at St James’ Park, but I was a little bit lucky on the goal.

But listen, we’ve been together 3-4 years now, we’ve got that big-game experience, and I thought we did really well to see the game out."

THE MAGPIES SEAL IT IN THE FINAL MINUTE!

Just as the signal went up for five minutes of added time, Newcastle captain Guimarães fires home the vital second goal.

Dan Burn cuts in from the left and looks for a one-two with his skipper after continuing his run into the box.

However, Guimarães instead goes for goal and his looping effort takes a wicked deflection that takes a wicked deflection into the net.

Newcastle are closing in on a place in next season's Champions League.

Nicolas Jackson has now received more cards (4) than he has direct goal involvements (3) in the Premier League in 2025.

On his sending off, the Premier League's Match Centre page released a statement explaining VAR's intervention on X.

It read: "VAR checked the referee’s call of yellow card to Jackson – and deemed that the challenge by Jackson on Botman was a serious foul play offence, therefore recommended an on-field review.

It's a yellow card, 100 per cent.

“Once he's given the yellow card, I don't think there's enough to give him a red card.”

NICOLAS JACKSON HAS BEEN SENT OFF!

The Chelsea striker is initially shown a yellow card for clattering into Sven Botman as the pair go up for a header.

However, Jackson leads with his right forearm, which smashes the Newcastle centre-back in the face.

The referee is sent to the monitor, and the decision to upgrade the caution to a straight sending off is confirmed.

CHELSEA ARE DOWN TO TEN!

More significantly, Jackson will not play again this season due to the three-match ban for a red card.

The Magpies are without star midfielder Joelinton this afternoon, but the Brazilian is watching from the stands inside St James' Park.

True to form, while watching as a fan today, the 28-year-old is wearing a retro Alan Shearer shirt while cheering on his teammates.
