Here's how the standings look ahead of the rest of today's games.

Liverpool are good, but they don't half make their fans sweat for these wins, do they?

Everton ended their long wait for a goal at Anfield, but could not do enough to turn around the Reds' 2-0 first-half lead.

For David Moyes, it’s 11 Anfield defeats in a row.

And the Reds extend their 100 per cent start to the new campaign and show why they’re the team to beat.

"Liverpool have been poor with the ball since half-time," says Charlie Adam on co-commentary for talkSPORT at Anfield.

"The last ten minutes are becoming dangerous for them, because Everton just need one moment.

"They just haven't had the same zip and control in possession, and they've given the ball away far too cheaply."

Florian Wirtz and Curtis Jones have both been brought on to presumably change that, but it's not working so far.

Ekitike has been brilliant leading the line for Liverpool today - but he's done a lot more than that, as his heatmap shows.

In the second-half, a tactical switch saw him put out on the left wing, with Cody Gakpo placed more centrally.

And now the striker has been replaced, with Isak now on the pitch searching for his first Liverpool goal.

What a hit, what a goal!

Everton have come out in this second-half with the extra purpose they needed, and they're right back in this one.

A cross from Grealish is brought down Ndiaye in the box, he then tees it up for Gueye who rifles a power-shot across the goal and into the top corner.

It's Everton's first goal at Anfield since 2021, when they beat the Reds 2-0.

But, as that game was during COVID, it means it's the first goal at Anfield Everton fans have actually seen with their own eyeballs since 2019.

Worth the wait?

two more to make it a day to remember.

And the way Liverpool's back-four have looked this season so far, it's certainly possible.

Game on!

What a signing this man has been for Liverpool.

The longer this streak goes on the more fans will be asking, should Isak even start in this team up front?

"Liverpool are not allowing Everton to breathe" - Charlie Adam

Tactically pretty perfect from Liverpool in the first 45 minutes as they hold a healthy lead at the break.

But they have shown signs that they can be got at - the battle between Jack Grealish and Conor Bradley has been a particularly tasty one.

But Everton really need to step it up and find a way to control the ball more after the break.

"Ekitike showing he's no understudy!"

The words of Sam Matterface as the summer signing continues his brilliant start in a Liverpool shirt to double their lead.

Gravenberch goes from scorer to provider, playing Ekitike through on goal with a lovely pass forward.

Ekitike takes a touch, and with his second pokes the ball through the legs of Pickford.

It makes you wonder why Liverpool spent all that extra money on Isak after their previous striker signing started so well.

But imagine when Isak is fully up and running too...

crikey.

Former Liverpool midfielder Charlie Adam on talkSPORT:

"Liverpool have been relentless, they're just suffocating Everton in midfield.

"That's what they're having to do to stop Liverpool, because they're just opening Everton up every time."

Sorry Moysey, we jinxed it.

A lovely goal to open the scoring for the Reds, although there are complaints from the visitors.

Gravenberch has produced a special finish, hooking the ball over Jordan Pickford with his first touch from a delicious cross from Mohamed Salah.

Everton aren't happy about a tackle in the build-up, where Cody Gakpo nicked the ball away from Iliman Ndiaye.

But it's a clean tackle, a really well-timed one too, so the goal stands, no problem.

Liverpool lead after an impressive high-tempo start.

David Moyes has never won a game at Anfield as a manager.

Yes, you read that right.

During his 11 year initial tenure in charge of the Toffees, and subsequent moves to Manchester United, Sunderland and West Ham, and now back at Everton, he has never tasted victory away at Liverpool.

His record against the Reds at Anfield in all competitions stands at 15 defeats and seven draws in 22 games.

It's the longest a manager has gone without a win at a single stadium in Premier League history.

talkSPORT host and lifelong Liverpool fan Tony Cascarino is concerned ahead of the Merseyside derby.

"Liverpool's weakest part of their team has been defensively, where they're giving away chances," he said on Weekend Sports Breakfast.

"You know, a number of teams have scored two already against Liverpool, whether it's Bournemouth, whether it's Atletico Madrid, there's been teams who have been scoring against Liverpool.

"And I think David Moyes will recognise that.

Of course, David Moyes will still have the structure of his team to make it as hard as he can.

"But I think they'll have a little bit more mindset of going to try and hurt Liverpool as well."

The teams are in, and any Reds fans out there hoping to see another Alexander Isak start might be a little disappointed.

Or maybe not, as Hugo Ekitike is starting up front after his lightning fast start to life at Anfield - scoring two goals and providing an assist in four league games.

Slot hinted Ekitike could be moved out onto the wing to accommodate Isak when the record signing is up and running.

But it appears he's not yet ready for a regular starting role in the team, having starting the Champions League win over Atletico Madrid midweek.

More surprisingly, there is no Florian Wirtz in the Liverpool starting line-up, with Slot going back to his tried-and-testing midfield three of Mac Allister, Gravenberch and Szoboszlai.

Conor Bradley is also in at right-back, with Milos Kerkez favoured over Andy Robertson despite the new signing's surprise first-half sub in their 1-0 win over Burnley.

Everton have made one change from the side that drew 0-0 with Aston Villa last time out, as Vitalii Mykolenko comes in for Tim Iroegbunam, who is on the bench.

All Everton eyes will be on Jack Grealish again, in the hope he can get the Toffees ticking against their arch rivals and help them claim their first win at Anfield since 2021.

Everton striker Beto says he will be respectful to Liverpool on his return to Anfield two months after laying flowers in memory of Diogo Jota.

The Portugal-born star said he witnessed first-hand the togetherness of the city's two clubs and sets of fans when it comes to 'human' issues.

He knows the reception he'll get from Liverpool fans, admitting they will jokingly say what Virgil van Dijk will do to him when he meets supporters on the street.

But he says his connection with Jota, his death and the scenes of togetherness afterwards will always mean something to him.

"We were not friends, but you know, when you play against Portuguese players and everything, we normally speak a little bit.

I go there to play and to win and I will not try to have any action that shows them disrespect because when I went there, they showed me respect."

Ruben Amorim said even the Pope could not make him change his style of play.

The Manchester United have faced calls to change his system to one that suits the strengths of the players in his squad, rather than shoehorn them into roles to fit his 3-4-2-1 formation.

It worked wonders for him at Sporting, but it's clear it's not working at United after another start to the season full of struggle.

The boss has insisted there will be 'evolution' in the way Man United play, saying his players just need more time to fully get to grips with his instructions and telling fans things will 'change' for the better.

But ultimately he insists he is sticking to his principles- and nobody can convince him to change his mind on that.

Which is just the news United fans would want to hear, ahead of facing Club World Cup champions Chelsea in the Premier League tonight in the 5:30pm game.

Amorim ahead ahead of the match: "Not even the Pope, it will not change...
