Arne Slot wants to enjoy Mohamed Salah's talents for as long as possible after the Egyptian scored one and set up two goals in Liverpool's 3-0 win away to rivals Manchester United.

Salah, 32, is in the final season of his Liverpool contract and afterwards admitted he treated it as his last appearance at Old Trafford, but he used it to show he remains an elite talent as he twice set up Luis Diaz in the first half before getting the killer third in the 56th minute.

Speaking to Sky Sports after the match, Salah said: "I was coming to the game, I was saying 'Look, it could be the last time'.

Salah said after Liverpool's 3-0 win over Manchester United today: “I had a good summer, I had a long time to work on myself and think positively because, as you know, this is my last year at the club.

“I just want to enjoy it, and I don’t want to think about it.

“I feel free to play football, and we’ll see what happens next year.

“Heading into the game, I said ‘look, this could be the last time’.

“Nobody has spoken to me about a contract, so I’ll play my last season, and see at the end of the season.

“It’s not up to me, it’s up to the club, but we will see.”

But Dutchman Gravenberch is hoping that Salah, who's been with Liverpool for seven years, will extend his time on Merseyside.

Gravenberch told talkSPORT: "If you see him today, he is a really good player and really good for the club, but at the end the decision is for himself.

If it's me, I want Mo to stay."

Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has announced that this is his last season at Anfield.

The Egyptian has enjoyed an incredible start to the campaign, being involved in every goal they've scored.

But with his contract set to expire at the end of the year, he's told Sky Sports that he will be leaving the Reds.

He said: "I had a good summer, I had a long time to work on myself and think positively because, as you know, this is my last year at the club.

"I just want to enjoy it, and I don't want to think about it.

"I feel free to play football, and we'll see what happens next year.

"Heading into the game, I said 'look, this could be the last time'.

"Nobody has spoken to me about a contract, so I'll play my last season, and see at the end of the season.

"It's not up to me, it's up to the club, but we will see."

Meanwhile, he was delighted with his team's display against Man United.

"It's a great result.

We tried to win the ball as high as possible, but the manager has his own system, and we have to adapt."

Manchester United were battered 3-0 by Liverpool this afternoon at Old Trafford, and Roy Keane isn't happy at all.

The United legend ripped into the performance from the Red Devils in the immediate aftermath of the game.

He said: "It was far from an even game.

"Liverpool were very, very good.

The game was over after 50 or 60 minutes.

"For the game to be over after an hour, it's hard to accept."

The referee blows the final whistle, and Liverpool have beaten Man United 3-0 at Old Trafford.

Arne Slot heads into the international break with a 100 per cent win record, having not conceded a goal, and they look brilliant.

Luis Diaz grabbed a double, including a lovely right-footed finish beyond Andre Onana before Mohamed Salah added a third in the second half.

In truth, they could have had more, but had to settle for three.

Meanwhile, it was another chastening day for Man United, who were blown away on their patch.

Erik ten Hag's substitutions were booed and Casemiro was hooked at half time after a shambolic performance in the first 45 minutes.

The Red Devils head into the international break with three points from their opening three games.

It's a bad time to be Erik ten Hag at the moment.

The Dutchman is watching his team get thrashed by their great rivals at home.

His substitutions have been booed, and now, the Liverpool fans are chanting 'Erik's at the wheel'.

Yeah, he'll probably want to forget this afternoon very quickly.

Trent Alexander-Arnold doesn't make it through another 90 minutes as Conor Bradley comes on for him.

The Liverpool right-back smiles as he walks off this time and applauds the travelling Reds fans.

However, he doesn't look Arne Slot in the eyes before taking his seat on the bench.

Nearly something for the home fans to cheer about.

Amad Diallo finds space on the right and dinks a cross into the box.

It's a good idea, and Lisandro Martinez of all people is there to meet it.

He throws himself at the cross with an overhead kick that flies wide of the far post.

Loud boos ring out as Erik ten Hag makes a couple of changes.

He takes Alejandro Garnacho off, which isn't a popular decision at all.

It's not about who is coming on, but more about Garancho being taken off and not Marcus Rashford.

Matthijs de Ligt's afternoon gets even better as well, as he's replaced by Harry Maguire.

As far as first Premier League starts go, you can file this one as underwhelming.

Matthijs de Ligt's first Premier League start is going well.

The Dutchman's team have conceded three goals, and he's now gone into the book for a tackle that could be described as 'robust'.

Luis Diaz is bursting away down the left, and the centre-back charges across the pitch to make the tackle.

He totally misses the ball and leaves Diaz in a heap.

On another day, he could have seen red for that.

At one end it could be 4-0 as Lisandro Martinez loses possession.

Mohamed Salah accelerates into the box, cuts in on his left and blasts over the bar from close range.

Down the other end, Marcus Rashford does well on the left to work some space.

A cross comes in, and Joshua Zirkzee rises to arrow a header at goal.

He should probably score, but Alisson Becker denies him from close range.

THE REDS ARE RUNNING RIOT!

Kobbie Mainoo loses possession this time in midfield.

Alexis Mac Allister wins the ball and feeds a pass into Dominik Szoboszlai.

The Hungarian rolls a pass into the path of the Egyptian, and first-time, he whips a strike into the bottom corner.

The Old Trafford crowd respond with very loud boos.

Right, we are back underway for the second half of this one, and Casemiro has been hooked.

On comes 20-year-old Toby Collyer for his Premier League debut.

With Manuel Ugarte coming in, are we witnessing the end of Casemiro at Man United?

Manchester United legend Roy Keane has lamented the mistakes leading to goals from his old team in that first half.

Casemiro was at fault for both goals, although Keane wasn't happy with the overall defending either.

Speaking on Sky Sports' coverage, Keane was asked about the first goal, and said: "Same old problems.

For the first goal, he's got to take a touch."

Well, that's the end of the first 45 minutes at Old Trafford, and it has been the Theatre of Dreams for the Reds.

Luis Diaz's excellent double has Arne Slot's men cruising to another three points.

Casemiro was at fault for both goals, and it wouldn't be a surprise if he's hooked.

The hosts have offered very little, and they will need to hugely improve.

THAT IS LOVELY!

Liverpool are flying at Old Trafford!

Casemiro loses the ball again, and Mohamed Salah finds a bit of space on the right.

He pokes a ball into the middle of the box for Luis Diaz, and the Colombian wraps his foot around a shot.

The effort flies into the near post corner, and Erik ten Hag's men are staring down the barrel.

Nearly an instant equaliser from an unlikely source.

Noussair Mazraoui fires in a shot from outside of the box after Bruno Fernandes' cross deflected into his path.

It's a decent low effort that Alisson Becker dives to his left to deal with.

THEY HAVE THE LEAD NOW, BUT WHAT IS CASEMIRO DOING?

The Brazilian, under no pressure at all, gifts a pass to Ryan Gravenberch.

The Dutchman runs up the pitch and feeds a pass into Mohamed Salah.

The Egyptian clips a cross to the far post, where Dominik Szoboszlai and Luis Diaz are waiting.

Szoboszlai ducks out of the way and allows Diaz to nod home.

Casemiro hangs his head in shame.

Liverpool might just have produced the worst corner kick routine since Iago Aspas' against Chelsea in 2014.

The Reds take it short into Mohamed Salah.

He plays it back to Andy Robertson, who fires the ball off a white shirt.

It rebounds away, and Man United break.

Noussair Mazraoui's pass is intercepted but the ball is worked into Alejandro Garnacho, and he crosses for Mazraoui, who fires a shot into the floor that Alisson Becker gathers.

Good goalkeeping from Alisson Becker.

Casemiro spots Marcus Rahford in behind the Liverpool defence and lifts a pass over the top.

It's a really good pass, and it has Rashford in in on goal, but the Reds number one races off his line and heads away.

We have a brief stoppage in play so Kobbie Mainoo can receive some treatment.

The Man United midfielder has a collision in midfield and looks to be in a bit of trouble.

But after a bit of time with the medical team, he is good to carry on.

We are 20 minutes into this one, and the game has somewhat calmed down after a frantic opening.

The Reds look extremely dangerous on the break and have recovered from having that goal ruled out.

Meanwhile, the hosts are looking better in possession than they did at many points last season.
