Manchester City have announced that Nico O'Reilly has signed a new deal.

The versatile Englishman has put pen to paper on a five-year contract at the Etihad.

O'Reilly is an academy graduate and has become a member of Pep Guardiola's first team in the last year.

He has made 27 senior appearances for the Citizens, and was delighted to have his long-term future sorted.

He said: "This is a day I will never forget.

This is the best place for a footballer to be.

“I want to thank everyone who works in the Academy, all my teammates, Pep, the coaching staff and the City fans because without all those people supporting me along the way, none of this would have been possible for me.”

Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner has been speaking to the media ahead of his side facing Liverpool in the Premier League tomorrow.

Marc Guehi was hours away from joining the Reds on transfer deadline day only to see the deal collapse at the end because Igor Julio chose to go to West Ham rather than Palace.

Oliver Glasner refused to sell Guehi without a replacement and reports suggest the Austrian informed Steve Parish that he would resign if his captain was sold without a replacement, so the deal fell through.

And ahead of the match at Selhurst Park, Glasner has been speaking about Guehi's attitude.

He said: "I have no concerns at all.

If you sign a contract, let's say the normal thing is you stick to your contract, so we are praised for doing what we have to do, I think it's more the opposite, we should blame people who don't stick to their agreement.

"Of course he was a little bit disappointed at the beginning but he said 'no, it's fine, I like being here, I like the team, I like the staff, I like Crystal Palace, I'm a south London boy, it's all good, I will give my best,' and this is exactly what I knew would happen."

Liverpool have made their Champions League squad change official following Arne Slot's comments earlier today.

"It's a matter of managing his pain in his groin, with the amount of games, it is something that can happen."

Palmer will miss clashes against Brighton and Liverpool in the league, along with a Champions League meeting with Benfica.

Arne Slot has spoken openly about Alexander Isak and his lack of match fitness following his £125m summer move.

Leoni has now been replaced by Federico Chiesa in Liverpool's Champions League squad for the League Phase.

"Leoni tore his ACL, so he will be out for around a year," Slot said.

"New club, new country, playing so well in your first game, there are no positives, but he is still so young but he has so many years left to come after such a terrible injury."

Jacob Ramsey has only played just over 50 minutes of football since his move from Aston Villa to Newcastle.

He's been sidelined with a foot injury since the end of August and now Eddie Howe has given an update.

Howe confirmed that Ramsey is back on the grass and is targeting a return in October, similarly to Yoane Wissa.

The Newcastle boss also spoke on injuries in the rest of the squad, bringing up an ongoing issue for Jacob Murphy ahead of facing Arsenal this weekend.

He added: "We have a couple of players to check today.
