Nottingham Forest are reportedly one of several clubs interested in negotiating a summer move for Liverpool defender Jarell Quansah.

And now TEAMtalk report that Nottingham Forest have 'entered the frame' to sign the England under-21 international.

They are reportedly 'keeping a close eye' on Quansah's situation, having identified him as a potentially valuable addition to Nuno Espirito Santo's squad.



In addition to Forest, it's said that top-five contenders Newcastle United are also tracking the defender.

Elsewhere, Inter Milan are reportedly still interested after first being linked last September, having recently 'asked for information' on the young defender, while 'several' German clubs are also following him closely.

The report further claims that Liverpool are 'open to considering offers' and have reportedly set a £29.7million valuation on the player.

The Reds academy product has struggled for regular starts under Slot, with only three of his 12 league appearances this season coming as starts.

"That's why it's so hard to play for Liverpool for everyone, not only for a player that comes from the Academy, but also the players we bring in," Slot explained in his press conference on Friday.

"To play in this team you need to be really, really, really good and he is competitive to the other ones.

"But he was maybe a bit unlucky that the other ones stayed fit throughout the whole season and they have so much consistency in their levels.

"Jarell has had consistency as well but one moment can change the perception of a game.

"One moment can also lead to us losing or winning a game of football.

"One moment he had the ball at the post against Paris Saint-Germain I think 10 minutes before the end.

"That's why to play at Liverpool and to play at Arsenal and to play at Paris Saint-Germain you need to do so many things well at the highest level - but the moment you do so he can play here for so many years to come."
