Football lawmakers IFAB are set to discuss extending the half-time break to 25 minutes on Thursday.

Part of a proposal put forward by South American federation CONMEBOL, it is viewed as an attempt to introduce "Super Bowl-style" half-time shows into football.

A similar proposal made by FIFA to extend the half-time break to 20 minutes was rejected in 2009, with it viewed by many as an attempt to further commercialise the sport.
