The Premier League's FINAL DAY is upon us, and talkSPORT is here to keep you up to date with the latest.

The top-flight title race and relegation spots have long been confirmed so all eyes will be on the race for the European places.

Man City, Chelsea, Newcastle, Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest are all still in with a chance of reaching the Champions League.

It's a short backpass to the goalkeeper, and he takes out Rasmus Hojlund.

The referee deems it a clear goalscoring opportunity, and after a VAR check, the decision stands.

Robin Olsen comes on for the Villans with Marco Asensio going off.

That is a huge blow in the race for the Champions League!

The right-back has time and space to deliver a cross, and this is an incredible ball.

Chris Wood nips in front of his marker and the goalkeeper, but he diverts the effort over the crossbar.

Carlos Alcaraz connects with a header that Nick Pope superbly tips onto the bar.

Down the other end, Jordan Pickford stops Sven Botman twice!

Initially, the Dutchman's header is tipped over the bar before his right-footed shot is blocked by the England number one's foot.

Noni Madueke finds space down the right of the pitch.

The winger drives towards goal and drives a cross into the box.

Pedro Neto gets in-between the two centre-backs, and makes contact with his left foot, but he can only send the ball over the bar from close range.

Mateta slots past Alisson to give the Eagles a second, but he's denied by the offside flag.

The Frenchman is then found in the six-yard box from a squared Eze cross and smashes the crossbar with Liverpool defenders nowhere.

However, the linesman's flag is raised for a second time, but the warning signs are there for the Reds.

Little excuse for this performance, with Palace winning the FA Cup only a week ago.

Jordan Pickford makes two huge saves!

Tino Livramento drives down the left and plays a pass inside to Sandro Tonali.

The Italian takes a touch and smashes in a shot that takes a nick, and Pickford does well to save to his left.

It comes out to Alexander Isak, and he thinks he's scored with a right-footed effort.

But Pickford is there to make another stop.

It's carnage in the box as Harry Maguire does well on the byline and plays a pass back to Diogo Dalot.

The full-back lashes a shot towards goal that smacks the post.

There is then an almighty scramble in the box before the visitors smuggle the ball away.

The defender has arguably been one of the best Man United players this season, but he's done.

It looks to be a hamstring injury, so he might be struggling for the start of next season if it's a serious one.

SOLANKE SCORES FROM THE SPOT!

The Europa League winners take the lead against the European-pushing Seagulls.

Wieffer brings down Tel to concede a sloppy penalty, and the party in north London is immediately restarted.

Solanke makes no mistake from 12 yards with a stutter run-up, deceiving Verbruggen, before he fires into the roof of the net.

Great news for Brentford - if they beat Wolves and Chelsea lose at Forest, they would qualify in eighth for the Conference League.

OUR FIRST GOAL OF THE FINAL DAY AND IT'S THE PREMIER LEAGUE CHAMPIONS WHO ARE BEHIND!

This wasn't in the Hollywood script - The Reds are behind again to the FA Cup winners.

Bradley's poor pass is intercepted by Mitchell, who spins on it and finds Sarr in behind a high Liverpool line.

The latter then shows brilliant composure to slot past the onrushing Alisson to prove Palace are truly the party poopers at Anfield.

Mason Mount should have Manchester United in the lead!

The former England international sees a strike stopped by Emiliano Martinez.

Patrick Dorgu then gets in down the left and lifts a cross into the box that Mount heads wide.

Martinez then has to make another stop to deny Bruno Fernandes.

Nottingham Forest striker Taiwo Awoniyi is back at the City Ground!

The forward suffered a horrendous abdominal injury against Leicester a couple of weeks ago that saw him put into an induced coma.

This followed life-saving surgery on the injury.

But he's out of his coma and is at the City Ground.

The crowd are delighted to see him and give him a top reception.

It's going to be a special day at Liverpool, the Reds will receive the Premier League trophy in front of a packed crowd at Anfield.

Trent Alexander-Arnold will also say farewell as a Liverpool player.

The German was at the Melwood training ground yesterday to meet Arne Slot for the first time and to be reunited with many old faces.

And he'll get to see Liverpool lift the Premier League for a second time.

However, there is a lot of speculation around Emiliano Martinez.

The Argentine was emotional after the win over Tottenham last week, sparking speculation that he'd played his final match as a Villan.

But Unai Emery is having none of it.

When asked if this would be Martinez's last match, he said: "No way!"

Nottingham Forest versus Chelsea is set up to be a winner-takes-all encounter.

As a result, both managers have made some difficult decisions.

Nuno Espirito Santo has elected to leave Callum Hudson-Odoi on the bench, but Murillo is fit.

Meanwhile, with Nicolas Jackson suspended, Pedro Neto leads the line.

At St James' Park, Alexander Isak has made a full recovery for Newcastle United to start against Everton.

The Toon's top scorer missed the 1-0 defeat to Arsenal last weekend, but he's able to lead the line against Everton.

And at Craven Cottage, there is no farewell start for Kevin De Bruyne.

The Manchester City legend is on the bench.

We know Liverpool are going to get the Premier League trophy today, and we also know the three teams that are going down.

We also know that Tottenham, Liverpool and Arsenal have secured Champions League football for next season.

There are three places up for grabs, but two of Manchester City, Newcastle United, Aston Villa, Chelsea and Nottingham Forest will miss out.

There is also a Europa Conference League place up for grabs that will go to whoever finishes eighth.

It's in Brighton's hands but a defeat to Spurs and win for Brentford would change everything.

Southampton have confirmed the appointment of Will Still as the club's manager.

The 32-year-old Belgian-born head coach left his job at Lens earlier this month and wanted a return to England.

He replaces Ivan Juric as the club's full-time boss and has signed a three-year deal.

He is in attendance today for the club's game against Arsenal with former Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, and he can't wait to get started.

Speaking to the club's website, he said: “I’m extremely proud and excited to have joined Southampton – there is huge potential here and we have a great opportunity to do something special.

“The project that has been laid out to me is very impressive and, all together, I believe we can build a clear identity and a very positive future for the team.

“I can’t wait to meet you, the fans.

I look forward to hearing you in voice, and feeling the energy and belief at St Mary’s and beyond.

“I’m eager to get to work this summer and start building a close-knit group that can make everyone proud and ultimately get us back to where we belong; in the Premier League.”
