Ex-Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson has reportedly attracted transfer interest from Nottingham Forest and Marseille.
According to the Daily Mail, a clause in his contract with the Dutch giants could allow Henderson to leave for free before mid-July.
As per the report in the Mail, Henderson has “not fully decided whether it is best to leave or stay put at Ajax” but there is widespread interest in the 35-year-old.
He was linked with a move to Rangers when Gerrard was reportedly in line to return to the Glasgow club as manager, but that option fell through.
Henderson, who remains part of Thomas Tuchel’s England despite the fact he will turn 36 at next summer’s World Cup, endured a frustrating end to the 2024/25 campaign as a run of four games without a win allowed PSV Eindhoven to win the Eredivisie title on the final day of the season.
Henderson led Liverpool to the 20219/20 Premier League title
That resulted in a public disagreement with a journalist during a press conference, in which Henderson repeatedly denied claims he wanted to leave the club
