A new supercomputer has predicted Arsenal will win the Premier League this season following their 5-0 thrashing of Chelsea.

The result saw Mikel Arteta's side move three points clear of Liverpool at the top of the table, although Jurgen Klopp's side do have a game in hand. Defending champions Manchester City, meanwhile, sit four points behind Arsenal with two games in hand.

Things are neck and neck between the three teams as we head into the final run of games and a supercomputer from BonusCodeBets believes the Gunners will go on to lift their first league title in 20 years.

The supercomputer uses a probability model to make its predictions, estimating the results of every remaining game based on a number of factors including league position, form and betting odds.

It then simulates those matches 1,000 times before putting together a league table based on the average results from those simulations and it has predicted Arsenal will win the league despite dropping points in two of their remaining four games.

The Gunners have been backed to win two and draw two, leaving them with 85 points. Both City and Liverpool, however, have been predicted to finish just one point behind them with 84.

According to the supercomputer, City are set to win just three of their remaining six fixtures while Liverpool will win three of their last five. Aston Villa have also been backed to claim the final Champions League qualification spot by finishing fourth.

And Arsenal are feeling confident about their chances, with midfielder Thomas Partey stating after their win over Chelsea : "I'm happy to be back in the team and also to get a win in the derby. It's a really important game, so I'm very happy.

Everything depends on us. We have to continue winning our games, we have a few more games left and we have to win them all. It was a very good game, we went all out from the beginning because we knew how important this game was. If we don't approach it right we are not able to win, but we did everything right and I'm really proud of the squad."
